House of Ash and Bone

My first novel coming in at 103,000 words. Here are the first two chapters.

Sometimes your family’s legacy comes back to haunt you.

Harassed by bullies and discriminated against by his teachers, Diego, a shy Mexican teen living in Oregon in 1984, has dreams of a gruesome, spectral woman and a message… “She waits for you.”

With the death of his mother, Diego moves to Tijuana, Mexico to live with his temperamental, estranged father, and finds himself in a dark, desolate house with voices in the night, a forbidden locked door and clues to a violent family past.

The house’s grisly past slowly emerges and threatens to take Diego’s life, as he gets closer to uncovering a horrible family secret, hidden behind the locked door.

Diego must overcome his fear, to survive where nightmares become reality.
